Starting as the King in the Europa Conference are the Rome Red Wolves sporting their trademark S-Mart jerseys. Rome is lead by Attacker's Chuffy Leslie and Felton Hiller.
The Red Wolves first match is against the Amsterdam Blazers. Amsterdam is a balanced team, but the Wolves Seven have a slight edge and are favored.
Wolves strike first and fast when Chuffy has a quick scoop and score with a brilliant feed by Willard Gifford. The Blazers immediately get on the power play after a Tripping Penalty by Felton Hiller and Card Wild delivers the equalizer during the man advantage.
Hiller was stopped by some brilliant Blazer defense (a trend that would continue) and a few minutes later the Blazers go up 2-1. Late in the 2nd Period, Greenlee scores for Amsterdam to post the 3-1 lead.
In the 3rd Period a rare Penalty Try is awarded to the Wolves. Chuffy Leslie takes the try and delivers to narrow the score to 3-2. The last 10 minutes of regulation features a desperate Wolves team stymied by the Blazer defense.
Amsterdam takes the match 3-2, becomes the King and will defend against the Milan Crush.
